Itinerary:

Arrive at Dar es salaam International Airport, meet and greet by Sunlive Adventure Trails representative and transfer to Landmark Beach Resort or similar for overnight on bed& breakfast.

Enjoy your breakfast at the hotel accompanied by the safari manager and he briefs you on the itinerary. Later depart for Selous Game Reserve. The drive will take 5-6 hours to reach the reserve with a picnic lunch en-route arriving at the camp in the late afternoon. Overnight at Butembo Tented Lodge or similar on full board basis.

Start the day with an early morning walk and later depart for a full day game drive with a picnic lunch. After return to your lodge for overnight. Overnight at Butembo Tented Lodge or similar on full board basis.

A boat safari on the Rufiji River will bring you closer to the aquatic animals as possible. Return to you lodge for lunch and later enjoy your afternoon game drive. Overnight at Butembo Tented Lodge or similar on full board basis.
Selous Game Reserve covers 50000sq km and is the largest game reserve in Africa. The reserve supports enormous number of elephants, buffaloes, hippos, crocodiles, lions& Wildebeests. The reserves also hosts the rare wild dogs & black rhinos.

After breakfast depart for Kilwa. This will be a 7-8hours drive through the coastal region. This is one of the most important trade route between Tanzania and Mozambique. Mtwara Region is the country’s highest producer of cashew nuts. Overnight at Kilwa Beach Lodge or similar on full board basis.

Enjoy your breakfast at the lodge and later depart for a tour of Kilwa Kisiwani to visit the ruins. Overnight at Kilwa Beach Lodge or similar on full board basis.

Day excursion to Kilwa Kivinje and Kilwa Masoko. Overnight at Kilwa Beach Lodge or similar on full board basis.
The wealthy island city of Kilwa was the most important of trade center that flourished along east African coast from 1100s to 1500s. Kilwa Kivinje was a major19th century slave trading Centre. Roughly 20000 slaves were exported from there annually during the 1860s. This site was also the place where the Germans Southern administrative headquarters were located. Kilwa Kivinje played a role in the United States history as well, since the majority of the slaves from Kilwa Kivinje went to the United States. Kilwa Kisiwani is famous for its ruins, the finest ant the most intact of Islamic architecture. Small fishing villages lay along the coast unchanged by the progress of the rest of the country. The city derived its wealth from gold& ivory trades.

An early start as we head toward Msasasi Tanzania’s border town to Mozambique. Overnight at Guest House on full board basis.

Morning crossing of the border and after the immigration formalities, overnight at Mueda. Overnight at Motel Sansala or similar on full board basis.

Transfer by boat to Ibo Island and overnight at Miti Miwiri on bed& breakfast.

Days will be at leisure or you may choose to go diving or just lay on the beach relaxing. Overnight at Miti Miwiri or similar on bed& breakfast.

Depart from Ibo Island to Pemba Island. Overnight ta Ulala Lodge or similar on half board basis.
The coastal town of Pemba lays claim to some of the finest coral reefs in all of southern Africa. Brilliantly coloured is but a short swim from the white sands of Wimbe beach. Divers and snorkelers swim among a myriad of exotic fish in crystal clear water. Naturally the profusion of seafood makes time spent here a gourmet’s delight.
