Itinerary:

Depart from Dar es Salaam at 0800hours for Udzungwa National Park. Arrival time will be late afternoon. Enjoy a short walking safari in the park and later retire at Udzungwa Hondo Hondo Tented camp or similar for overnight on full board basis.

After breakfast enjoy a walking safari in the park and later go to the Sanje waterfalls for a refreshing swimming session and stunning views. Udzungwa Hondo Hondo Tented camp or similar for overnight on full board basis.
Udzungwa national park opened to the public in 1992 and its one of the most beautiful wilderness parks in Tanzania. Covering an area of 1900sq km, the uniqueness of this park lays in it biodiversity in hosting a variety of flora and fauna species not found anywhere else in the world. The Red Colobous Monkey and the Sane Crested Manbrey, elephants, buffaloes, leopards and sable antelopes are some of the resident animal sin this park. A wide range of bird species are also found in the park and includes; Rufus winged sunbird, Iringa Akalat, Lagden’s bush shrike& Udzungwa partridge.

After breakfast depart for Ruaha National Park. The drive to the Ruaha is a fascinating one and offers a feel of the African country side where you will be passing through sisal plantations, and local villages before climbing up the Rift Valley escarpment passing through Iringa Town and finally arriving in your lodge in the late afternoon. Overnight at Ruaha Hilltop Lodge or similar on full board basis.

Breakfast at the lodge and later depart for game drive inside Ruaha National park where will be on the lookout for the elusive wild dogs, elephant, and herds of buffaloes. Enjoy your picnic lunch and a short rest at the site before embarking on your afternoon game drive, this is the best time to spot predators as they come out of the shades when the sun gets cooler for hunting or socializing (lions). Overnight at Ruaha Hilltop Lodge or similar on full board basis.

After breakfast, depart for a walking safari which will bring you closer to small animals and plants that you would miss out while on game drives in your safari vehicle. The crisp fresh African air mixed with the wild smell of the animals evokes your sense of smell to the intoxicating unique bush smell of the African wild. Each tree or plant has its use which include medicinal and our guide will point them out for your during your safari. Overnight at Ruaha Hilltop Lodge or similar on full board basis.
Ruaha National Park, is Tanzania’s biggest park and a host to a number of animals which are rare or absent in the Northern Tanzania which include the African Wild dogs, Roan Antelope, Sable Antelope, and the greater Kudu. The great Ruaha River which provides life in the park flows on the Eastern side of the park and is a home to crocodiles, hippos and a variety of water birds.

Enjoy breakfast at the lodge and later depart for Mikumi National Park via a traditional village at Twingamalenga. Late afternoon game drive in the park and later overnight at Mikumi Safari Lodge or similar on full board basis.
Mikumi National Park is flanked between the Uluguru& Udzungwa Mountains. Mikumi National Park is home to Buffaloes, giraffes, elephants, Lions Zebras, leopards and a variety of antelope species. The park is also famous for wild dogs and 6 meters long pythons.

Enjoy an early morning game drive in the Mikumi National park before departing for Selous Game Reserve. The drive will be through some of the most scenic parts of Southern Tanzania. Villages and the Uluguru Mountains dot along the way. You will make a short lunch break along the way and arriving at your camp by later afternoon. Enjoy a late afternoon game drive in the reserve and later overnight at Butembo Tented Camp or similar on full board basis.

Take the day exploring the Selous as the famous explorers did in the yester years. Picnic lunch will be under shady trees with a relaxing visit to the hot springs. Overnight at Butembo Tented Camp or similar on full board basis.

Selous Game Reserve covers 50000sq km and is the largest game reserve in Africa. The reserve supports enormous number of elephants, buffaloes& Wildebeests. The reserves also hosts the rare wild dogs & black rhinos.
